Product Information

Characteristics

The Santoku (三徳) is a classic Japanese utility knife whose name means “three virtues”—excellence in cutting meat, fish, and vegetables. It is one of the most versatile kitchen knives, prized for its precision, ease of use, and versatility.

This model features a 172-mm blade, which, thanks to its back thickness of just 1 mm, ensures an exceptionally light and smooth cut. The blade’s slender profile allows for precise slicing, and the contoured tip makes it easier to tackle more demanding kitchen tasks.

The upper part of the blade has been left with the traditional Kurouchi finish, characteristic of hand-finished Japanese knives. This finish highlights the authentic character of the tool and pays homage to the centuries-old tradition of Japanese blacksmithing.

The lightweight design, weighing 168 g, and the ergonomic Japanese-style handle (Wa Handle), secured with two rivets, ensure a secure grip, proper balance, and high comfort even during prolonged use.

This is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an authentic Japanese Santoku knife that combines a traditional design with high functionality and precision cutting.
